Update - The "turkey" is sooooooooooo done!

No this picture does not give any explanation as to my whereabouts for the past three months. I did not run off to Japan and pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a sumo wrestler, (although with how big I feel right now, i'm sure i could give some of those big boys a run for their money) I've just been a big ol' proctastinator. I know I am wayyyyyyyyyyyyy overdue in updating my blog so I thought I would at least give you a wee lil' update and punish myself for taking so long by posting the above pic. No makeup + no hair done + one goofy expression = one hot tamale of a pregnant chick!

Baby Ryan has not made his appearance yet. My due date was yesterday but I'm thinking he's a wee bit too comfy in his "condo" to want to come out yet. I mean, who can blame him, a balmy 98.6 degrees, constant cushioning, the soft soothing sounds of amniotic fluid and being able to relax and not have to be on a schedule. Although he might be getting a wee tired of the little lectures I've been giving him as of late about "summer vacation" being over and him needing to show us how his 10 months of hard work has really paid off. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I was a whopping 2 cm dialated. Whoop-dee-doo right? I was up a whole 0.5cm from the week before. My OB then "stretched my cervix" which I guess is what we Canuckians call stripping your membranes. Whatever it is called it should be called "gouging my own eyeballs out with a spoon would be a breeze compared to this" because it was no picnic. He's hoping that this will get things rolling but alas, if they don't, I have another appointment on Monday to discuss the big "I" (induction). So if you could please keep your fingers, arms, toes and any possible flexible ligament that you have crossed for me it would be greatly appreciated. Wish me luck. ;)

Your story sounds awfully familiar. Wait, that was me 4 years ago. When Izzy's due date came and left and still no Izzy I was about to pull her our myself. I as well had my membranes stripped, twice, and nothing but utter pain and discomfort followed. She came on her own, 3 days late, but totally worth it. Love you and know that you are in our prayers. Can't wait to see pics!

PS. Love the pic

You will do great girl. Just keep the finish line in sight. Just think after all this weight, pain, discomfort, breathing, ya know whatever it is. You will have a beautiful baby boy to love forever and all that pain just goes away and you are overwhelmed by love and one of the most spiritual moments you will ever have. You are one strong chick and I know you can do this;)

Finally, a picture of you pregnant! I can't wait to see your little baby!! FYI--I sat on the swing and had ken push me for about 30 minutes fairly high and I was in labor that evening!! It worked for 2 of my kids. Seriously, give it a try.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. All will go well, I'm quite sure of it. Wow, 10 months! Well and truly done, that's for sure. What I "hopefully" have to look forward to one day...

Um... that picture is AWESOME. In fact, I am going to steal it, print it, and put it up at my desk so I can chuckle a "wee-bit" every once in a while. Man I miss you. YOu crack me up like no one else!!!! I'm glad you finally posted something. Gosh! I don't think you should bring baby Ryan back to "the land of the free" if you know what I mean.

That was not supposed to say "not bring him back" it was supposed to say bring him back. Ah.... nevermind I was trying to make a Canada's not a free country joke and I bombed. Ha ha...HA!!!
